With the new 18-55mm lens attached, the T3i is much lighter. It offers nine-point focusing with a central cross-type f/2.8 focus point and 8 single-axis points. It also offers EV compensation from -2.0 to +2.0 as do some cameras, the T3i comes with a much wider +/-5.0EV exposure compensation range.

Review of Elements of Art

1. The elements of art are the basic properties of a work of art perceived through our senses are texture, form, color, line and tone.

2. I will use the elements of art in my next project by applying elements in our images to make them better.

3. My groups project is people in nature.

THREE LINKS OF COMPOSITION :

SUMMARY :

These techniques enable us to take better pictures but it does not guarantee a good photograph, composition simply helps us build our image. We don't need to use all techniques but any technique that we add will add appeal to our image. First we need to add "the rule of thirds", this rule is to crop the picture so that the main subjects are located along one of the intersections points and not in the center. An important part of photography is to have a good background, so make sure theirs no unwanted objects in the back because all that will pull the eye from what the main focus is meant to be. Also an effective way to make an image more interesting or to grab attention is to change the angles that you're shooting from. Changing the angle doesn't only impact the feeling of size of the subject, it has a real effect upon the light, shade and patterns on it. Magnify and focus an image, emphasize the main subject, frame the subject making it larger, taller or in a sharper focus than everything else in the image.

First Assignment - Lighting

When we went outside with our group to look at lighting, we noticed that the light made us look as if we had a lighter skin color. Every single person had a different colored top, and the color of their top reflected on their skin/face color. Light reflects different on us. The way we stand and the colors of our clothes makes a difference to our skin. Lighter top colors like white made us look lighter and the darker colors like navy blue, black, etc. made the person look ass if they were darker.
